Process

Consultation Meeting

  • An initial meeting takes place at the studio to introduce you to our team, our process and our products.

  • We charge a $1,000 retainer fee per room that includes coming up with an initial design for your space along with other design features such as: countertops, tile, lighting, hardware, plumbing fixtures, custom woodworking items, paint colors, wallpaper choices, fabric for benches, stools and any other needs for the space, all based on pre-design conversations and shared inspiration pictures/ideas.

  • The next step is visiting your home, getting to know your personality and how you use your space. We take photos and measurements to start the design process. We will have you back to the studio to go over the initial designs.

  • Two rounds of design changes are included after the first design meeting.

  • You will receive a final design presentation that includes the floor plan and perspectives applicable to the cabinet line that was used to meet your design/budget needs upon purchase of cabinetry.

Design Meetings

  • A preliminary design is developed to represent space solutions and a design meeting is conducted at our studio to review the designs and go over selections that we came up with, with samples and mood boards.

  • Changes from the first design meeting are incorporated into new designs

  • Appliances, fixtures and other pertinent details will be determined, and preliminary pricing and/or allowance ranges will be discussed.

  • By the third design meeting, room views will be provided to be shared with contractors for installation pricing.

  • If after the third round of changes, significant changes are still desired, an additional fee of $150/design will be charged.

Note:  Designs are based on our initial measurements and using our specific cabinet lines and remain the property of Studio 912 until a contract is signed for the cabinetry purchase.

Final Meeting

  • Once the design is finalized, a closing meeting will be conducted to review the final design and drawings.

  • The contractual documents with product specifications will be presented to the client and if after reviewing the cost of material, the customer desires to proceed, contracts will be signed, deposits made and product ordered.

  • We will take confirmation measurements before ordering cabinetry

Studio 912 works closely with a team of contractors for our project installations or are happy to work with our client’s contractor.  We provide a detailed construction packet for the installation contractor.  A pre-construction meeting will take place to review the construction packet with the installer before the project is started.
